Mistletoe Margarita from Big Daddy's BBQ Pit

This Mistletoe Margarita is a great adult beverage to serve guests at your holiday gatherings. Refreshing yet not too sweet — the cranberry and orange juice base gives it a festive color and flavor that fits right in at any holiday party. The rosemary and cranberry garnish makes it look as good as it tastes.

🍹 What You'll Need — Serves a Pitcher

  • 1¼ cups orange juice
  • 1¼ cups cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 cup silver tequila
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries with juice
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup Squirt or 7UP
  • Salt for rimming the glasses
  • Fresh rosemary and cranberries for garnish
  • Ice

How to Make It

  1. Combine the orange juice, cranberry juice, tequila, maraschino cherries with their juice, and lemon juice in a serving pitcher.
  2. Stir until well combined.
  3. Add the Squirt or 7UP and stir gently — don't over-mix or you'll lose the fizz.
  4. Rim a margarita or cocktail glass with salt.
  5. Add a few cubes of ice and pour the drink mix into your glass.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a few fresh cranberries. Serve and enjoy!
🍹 Please drink responsibly. Must be 21+ to consume alcohol.
🔥 Big Daddy's Tips:
  • Make the base mixture ahead of time and refrigerate — add the Squirt or 7UP right before serving to keep the fizz.
  • The maraschino cherry juice adds a subtle sweetness and a deeper red color — don't skip it.
  • A salted rim is classic but a sugar rim works great with this recipe too for a sweeter vibe.
  • Scale this up easily for a large batch — it's a pitcher recipe so just double or triple the quantities.
  • Fresh rosemary as garnish isn't just decorative — give it a little gentle squeeze before dropping it in to release the oils and add a subtle herbal aroma.
