Whole Spare Ribs Recipe in 4 hours

Whole Spares

For this recipe we did something a little different, whole spare ribs! Straight through with a dry rub, no sauce, no wrap. These ribs were loaded with a savory, tender and juicy bite! Just a great eating rib that is simple to make on any pit!

·        2 Slabs of Whole Spares

·        3 TBSP of Killer Hogs TX

·        3 TBSP of Killer Hogs Hot BBQ Rub

·        50/50 Blend of water & apple cider vinegar for spritz

·        2 TBSP of Yellow Mustard

Set up the pit of your choice to run at 275 degrees. Prep your ribs by removing any excess fat and the membrane from the back. Put 1 TBSP of yellow mustard on each slab and coat. Add a medium layer of the TX Rub to each rib followed by a light dusting of the Hot BBQ Rub. Place on the smoker and cook for 4 hours or until your ribs reach the tenderness you desire. Rotate and spritz the ribs each hour until finished. Once desired tenderness is reached, remove the ribs to rest for at least 30 minutes.

Slice and serve!
