Candied Bacon

This candied bacon turned out amazing, these make for an amazing snack and it is a big hit at parties. These are sticky, sweet and scrumptious. You can always change up the flavors to suit your liking!

 

·       1 LB of Thick Bacon

·       1/2 Cup of Apple Cider Vinegar

·       1/4 Cup HR Maple Honey Habanero Glaze

·       1/4 Cup HR Brown Sugar Honey Habanero Glaze

·       1 TBSP of Buttery Cinnamon Roll Seasoning

·       1 TSP of Killer Hogs Hot BBQ Rub

·       1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar

 

Set your oven to 375 degrees and line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper. Add all of the ingredients above (except bacon) to a medium saucepan. On medium heat simmer until all the sugar and seasoning is dissolved, reduce the mixture by about half. Remove from heat and let cool. Cut your bacon in half. Coat each strip of bacon with the mixture either by dipping the bacon or using a brush. Place on the cookie sheet and cook until your desired doneness. Ours took about 25-35 minutes. You want to be careful not to burn the bacon or the sugars. Remove from the cookie sheet and place on cooling racks to cool. Once cool place into a bag for storage and place in the refrigerator.
