Ham and Cheddar Swim Biscuits
Swim Biscuits Ham & Cheddar
We have made these biscuits several times and they are delicious, we thought we would share. The sky is the limit on how these can be served or what ingredients they can be made with. We enjoy these with some butter and honey!
· 1 Stick of Butter
· 2 3/4 AP Flour
· 4 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder
· 2 tsp of Sugar
· 1 tsp of Salt
· 2 tsp of HR Garlic Butter Seasoning
· 2 Cups of Diced Ham
· 1 Cup of Sharp Cheddar Cheese
· 2 Cups of Buttermilk
Set your Pellet smoker or Oven to 450 degrees. In an 8 inch cast Iron pan add the butter and melt. While the butter is melting combine all of the dry ingredients. Mix until thoroughly incorporated. Add your buttermilk and combine. Place your batter into the heated cast iron with melted butter. Level off the batter to ensure it is evenly distributed. Place on cooker for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes check for doneness using a toothpick. If it pulls clean remove from smoker to let cool for 10-15 minutes. Cut and serve!
